Over Twenty Years Experience in the Meeting Management Industry

Karen D. Tucker, the President of Meeting Services Connection, in Newton, Massachusetts offers over 20 years of meeting management experience to her clients. Karen has managed meetings as large as 1400 and as small as 15 for a variety of companies from technology to pharmaceutical. She has extensive experience with producing meetings in international locations such as the Caribbean, Thailand, Hong Kong, Italy, Spain, Canada, UK and France.  Ms. Tucker has been an active member of Meeting Planners International (MPI) since 1983, recently completing a two year term on the local Board of Directors.

Prior to launching Meeting Services Connection, Karen developed and implemented a centralized meeting planning department within a Fortune 100 high tech company. During her tenure, she managed up to thirty-five domestic and international meetings per year with budget responsibility for $5 million. As a result of her work, Ms Tucker has been designated as an industry expert on recreating meeting management models with outsourced employees.  She is a frequent speaker at Hospitality Industry conferences, sought for her expertise in outsourcing and international meeting management. She is on the faculty of the meeting Management Certification Program at Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts.

In June, 2000, Ms. Tucker was acknowledged for her contributions to the Meetings Industry through the prestigious Award and Designation of Meeting Professional of the Year, 2000.
